...for Ice Cream! Many thanks to Vance for some great suggestions last week to continue my Tuesday lists. This week, the list is Favorite Flavors/Types of Ice Cream:
1. PISTACHIO GELATO (My absolute favorite gelato flavor in Italy)
2. Pistachio or pistachio-almond ice cream
3. Birthday cake/cake batter ice cream with fresh strawberries mixed in (Marble Slab or Coldstone)
4. TCBY sorbet flavor of the day
5. TCBY white chocolate mousse yogurt with Reese's Cup topping
6. Italian ices, snow cones, or frozen lemonades
7. Cookies & cream (Oreo) ice cream
8. Homemade peach ice cream
9. Homemade banana ice cream
10. A taste of whatever John gets, because his ice cream choices usually are far more decadent than mine. They're typically something along the lines of "double-fudge, cookie-chunk, caramel-swirl, mocha-flavored, Reese's Cup, Butterfinger ice cream in a chocolate coated waffle cone"...
I've never been the kid that loved ice cream -- my family didn't eat it very much of it at home growing up. That's why many of my favorites are rather elaborate (toppings, etc.), because we always went OUT to get ice cream. Going to TCBY was one of my favorite treats as a kid! Nowadays, if it's just general dessert consumption, I prefer the more ice-y, frozen yogurt, dairy-free style frozen treats if any at all. But the flavors above are definitely my favorites if you're going all out for an ice cream masterpiece. If I ever claim to be too full for ice cream, John says that since it melts, "it just fills in the cracks!"
What about y'all -- favorite flavors? Did you grow up as ice cream fiends? Does this warm weather make you want to run out and grab a waffle cone of your favorite flavor?
